Activity

The Children's Orthodontic Clinic at the IMC provides services only under the Specialised Orthodontic care Programme for children with congenital craniofacial abnormalities, reimbursed by the National Health Fund (NFZ).

This programme provides orthodontic care for children with congenital craniofacial abnormalities and various types of clefts from the moment of birth. The moment when the mother and baby leave the maternity ward is the best moment for parents/guardians to contact the Orthodontic Clinic.

Entitlement to these services has been granted to all children with any known genetic syndromes which are manifested though changes within the craniofacial area and oral cavity, for instance Goldenhar, Apert, Down, Cruzon, Treacher-Collins, Moebius, Silver-Russel, Klippel-Feil syndromes, Pierre Robin sequence, achondroplasia and many other genetically confirmed syndromes. These children should also undergo orthodontic consultation in the first months of their life in order to arrange a long-term plan of rehabilitation and therapy.

All orthodontic procedures, including orthodontic treatment with fixed braces, are fully reimbursed by the NFZ from birth to 18 years of age.

The Orthodontic Clinic aims to provide comprehensive care for patients with congenital craniofacial abnormalities. The goal of the treatment is not only to improve the occlusion, and, consequently, to improve the quality of nutrition, but also to improve aesthetics and speech. Thanks to the efforts of our medical professionals, patients with congenital abnormalities regain self-confidence and become more similar to their peers. Our Clinic sees an average of 500 patients per month.

Patients can be registered in person at the IMC Orthodontic Clinic (blue building, Room 28, ground floor) or by telephone at: +48 22 32 77 128.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our Clinic.
