This school operates within the Society for Responsible Parenthood at the IMC's Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic.
The School for Parents was founded in 1980. It prepares parents for labour and parenting and changes its curriculum to respond to new knowledge and the needs of parents-to-be.
The school boasts nearly 30 years of tradition and one of the most modern programmes for childbirth schools.
OUR CLASSES ARE FACILITATED BY:

- nutrition specialists,
- welfare specialists,

The programme includes 5 lectures, 2 workshops and 4 practical sessions.
Reimbursed Childbirth School classes
THE COSTS OF THE ‘CHILDBIRTH SCHOOL' UNDER THE ANTENATAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME ARE REIMBURSED BY THE CAPITAL CITY OF WARSAW.

The school programme covers five lectures, one workshop, and four practical sessions (gym) preparing for labour. The programme takes five weeks, with classes organised twice a week, 90 minutes per day. Lectures and workshops are facilitated by gynaecologists and obstetricians, paediatricians, psychologists, human nutrition experts, family science experts, neonatal nurses, midwives and welfare experts. Practical exercises are facilitated by experienced physical therapists. Participants receive key information about the last weeks of pregnancy, labour, post-partum period, breastfeeding and baby care. Physical exercises help pregnant women to improve their fitness, and to relax and tighten the muscles which are active during labour. The school is targeted at people who want to get well prepared for labour, breastfeeding and baby care. The classes are FREE OF CHARGE as their costs are reimbursed by the city of Warsaw under the antenatal education programme.
Women can be admitted to the free-of-charge childbirth programme if they meet the following conditions:
- the pregnant woman must be registered for permanent or temporary residence in Warsaw, or
- the pregnant women must pay her income tax in Warsaw, or
- the pregnant woman stays at a single mother shelter or a shelter for mothers with underage children, or at another care facility in Warsaw, or a facility which has signed a relevant agreement with the city of Warsaw.
